Making room for two ambitions
Neha and Mohit meet at a family gathering in Jaipur. Their shared community background makes the introductions comfortable, but the conversation becomes more interesting when they start talking about the work each hopes to do in the coming years.
Neha is considering further study. Mohit is exploring a role that could involve travel. Neither pretends those plans will fit together automatically. They decide to speak again and work through what different choices might mean for their time, their location and their future household.
Over several conversations, they exchange ordinary details: how they organise a busy week, who they turn to for advice and what helps them feel at home. They find that supporting another person's ambition sometimes means asking a better question instead of offering an immediate solution.
Their families join a later conversation. The couple explains the decisions they are still exploring, and everyone agrees that those questions deserve time. No one is asked to give up an important goal simply to make the arrangement look easier on paper.
Neha and Mohit choose a shared future that leaves space for both of their plans. The mutual respect and honest expectations.
