A conversation that felt easy

Anjali and Deepak begin with an introduction through family acquaintances. Both are curious, but neither wants to make a decision after one meeting. Their first conversation drifts from work to favourite meals and the places they remember visiting as children.

What Anjali notices is that Deepak asks questions and listens to the answers. Deepak appreciates that she speaks openly about wanting to continue her career. Before they discuss celebrations, they talk about commuting, household responsibilities and the kind of daily routine they would enjoy sharing.

A few weeks later, the families meet over tea in Rohtak. The gathering is small, and the couple has already agreed that it is an opportunity to become acquainted rather than a deadline for a decision. Both families make space for questions and for answers that need more thought.

The two do not agree on every preference. They discover different ideas about weekend plans and how often to host relatives. Those differences become conversations rather than obstacles to hide. They try to understand what matters most to each other.

Anjali and Deepak choosing to move forward together after several unhurried conversations.
